CDM provides maximum reproducibility and is the regulatory gold standard for GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>Why chemically defined medium is the regulatory preference<\/h2>\n<p>Undefined raw materials (serum, hydrolysates) introduce variability that is difficult to control. Lot-to-lot FBS variation can shift cell growth rate, productivity, and product quality (glycosylation, charge variants) \u2014 requiring re-qualification when a new lot is introduced. CDM eliminates this variability because every component is defined and consistently supplied.
