FBS Premium undergoes additional quality control screening beyond our Standard grade, resulting in tighter endotoxin specification (≤ 1 EU/mL, lot-specific), reduced haemoglobin values and tighter lot-to-lot consistency. Both grades share the same South American origin (EMEA-certified) and 0.1 µm filtration, but Premium is recommended for sensitive primary cell cultures, iPSC-derived models, long-term comparability studies and any application where serum quality directly influences cell behaviour or assay readout.

Every shipment includes a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA), Certificate of Origin (CoO), TSE/BSE Statement and sterility certificate. On request, we also provide detailed virus-screen panels (PPV, BVDV, BVMoV, SV40), Extractables & Leachables (E&L) reports for bulk bag formats, lot reservation agreements and extended origin documentation. All documents are provided in English.

Yes. FBS Premium is the recommended SeamlessBio grade for primary cells (PBMC, HUVEC, hepatocytes), iPSC-derived cell models and organoid cultures where sensitivity to endotoxin and IgG is higher than in established continuous cell lines. The additional QC screening reduces the risk of batch-to-batch variation affecting differentiation, proliferation or functional readouts. We recommend validating a trial lot in your model before committing to a long-term lot reservation.

FBS Premium is available in 50 mL, 100 mL and 500 mL bottles. Bulk volumes (1 L, 5 L or larger single-use bag formats) are available on request for scale-up and bioprocessing applications. There is no minimum order quantity for standard bottle sizes. Lot reservation for up to 36 months can be arranged to ensure supply continuity across multi-year projects.

FBS Premium lots are subject to additional QC panels beyond standard sterility and mycoplasma testing, including endotoxin (LAL method), haemoglobin and virus screen. We offer screening aliquots so you can validate a specific lot in your own system before placing a full order. Qualified lots can be reserved for up to 36 months, giving you supply security throughout a project without exposure to batch variation.

Yes. SeamlessBio delivers FBS Premium cold-chain to all EU member states, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Shipments travel temperature-controlled throughout the delivery chain. FBS Premium (≤ 1 EU/mL endotoxin) covers most primary cell and pre-clinical applications. If your assay is highly endotoxin-sensitive — for example, immunological readouts with TLR-4-expressing cells — our FBS Low Endotoxin grade (≤ 0.1 EU/mL) offers an additional margin. For applications where background IgG interferes with detection (flow cytometry, cell isolation with magnetic beads, immunoprecipitation), our FBS Ultra Low IgG grade is the appropriate choice. The SeamlessBio team can recommend the right grade based on your specific assay requirements.

Yes. We offer trial screening aliquots of FBS Premium on request. This allows you to validate lot performance — cell growth, viability and assay suitability — before committing to a larger volume.
