ciPTEC — Renal Transporter Model
ciPTEC (conditionally immortalised proximal tubule epithelial cells) are human kidney-derived cells expressing endogenous renal transporters in a physiologically relevant polarised epithelial monolayer.
Unlike overexpression systems, ciPTEC express transporters at physiological ratios — making them the preferred model for renal DDI studies and nephrotoxicity screening where endogenous transporter expression is critical.
