Why endotoxin level matters for albumin supplementation

Standard BSA can contain trace bacterial endotoxin (lipopolysaccharide) originating from the purification process. For most applications this is not a concern, but in endotoxin-sensitive cell culture — including primary cells, immune cell culture and certain stem cell protocols — even low-level endotoxin contamination can trigger inflammatory responses or otherwise confound results.

BSA Low Endotoxin is purified to a specified low-endotoxin standard, reducing this risk for applications where endotoxin sensitivity is a known concern.
